Pop on the hardhat and brew a cuppa; it’s time to start planning a new metropolis with Cities: Skylines 2. From the creators of Crusader Kings III and Stellaris, Paradox Interactive have announced the highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed Cities: Skylines, released back in 2015.
Developed by Colossal Order, Cities: Skylines 2 promises to be bigger, better and even more beautiful than the first game. They’ve already revealed new transport and economy systems, and a wealth of construction options. And have even gone as far as to coin it the, “most open-ended city-building sandbox on the planet.” Which is setting the bar pretty high from the get go.
Just from the reveal trailer, we get to see stunning graphics and visualizations, a plethora of new features and the opportunity to build cities like we’ve only ever dreamed of. And if that wasn’t enough, players can also look forward to advanced modding capabilities coming to the game after its release.
What’s more, is that you don’t have long to wait before you can start building the city of your dreams. Cities: Skylines 2 will be releasing on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5 release later this year.
