IV Studios Announce Honor’s End

IV Studios have heralded in their newest game, and my word this one looks epic.

Get your steel armor on, your sword unsheathed and your nerves steady, as you’re set to become a heroic knight in the co-op deckbuilder Honor’s End, which will be coming to Kickstarter soon.

IV Studios have been on an absolute tear recently with their Kickstarter games, releasing brilliant titles like Veiled Fate, Mythic Mischief and one of my new favourite games, Moonrakers.

If you have backed IV Studio’s works before you will certainly be uber excited by this announcement, and if you haven’t previously tried one of their games, do yourself a favour and take a look, or perhaps think about backing Honor’s End.

Why Should I Be Excited?

While full details haven’t been released yet including a fixed date of when it will be launched on Kickstarter, the information and gameplay IV Studios have been promoting looks incredible, and I advise anyone to take a look at their Instagram or YouTube videos to really whet your appetite.

In Honor’s End you will play as a either single or group of Knights, using cards to represent weapons, heroes and actions as you try to defeat enemies in a kind of dungeon crawling themed game.

What most excites me about this however is the fact it can be played either as a simple standalone game, or as an epic episodic campaign which allows you to unlock new challenges and content to bring the medieval world setting of Honor’s End to life. So unlike other campaign games, when you’re finished you’ll just be able to treat it as another game in your collection, or even try the campaign again to see if you can do it better. Returning to deckbuilding as well for the first time since Moonrakers, which as I mentioned previously is an astonishingly good experience, Honor’s End has the feel of a game that is going to be huge in the world of board gaming.

It sounds dynamic, unique, thematic, one which for the first time has me thinking about backing a Kickstarter project, something I have always avoided in the past, and its simply because it looks so good my resistance to its charm might just be broken.

Coming Soon

As stated no release date has been announced yet, but if you’re a fan of deckbuilding, fantasy adventures or IV Studios previous works, Honor’s End needs to be one for you to watch.

So go get yourself on Kickstarter and asked to be notified of its launch date, to ensure you get in early on this epic new campaign.
