Invokyr is bringing a cursed board game to life!

Someone rolling a dice with 2 monsters appearing in the bakckground and text saying 'SUMMON MONSTERS?'

Fancy a board game night where the dice can actually summon monsters? Invokyr, the upcoming co-op horror game from indie studio Ludogram, is heading into Early Access on October 8th, 2026, and it looks like game night is about to get seriously spooky! The game puts players inside a haunted manor where a mysterious old board game holds the key to escaping. The catch? Every roll can trigger something nasty! Invokyr is designed around online co-op, letting you team up with friends as you explore the manor, hunt for dice, and attempt to survive whatever the Game Master throws at you. Steam currently lists the game as supporting up to four-player co-op, with the latest version expanding that experience even further.

Every roll is a gamble!

The big idea behind Invokyr is pretty simple. Roll the dice and see what happens! Unfortunately, what happens might involve a monster charging through the room, a trap going off, or some other supernatural problem making your carefully planned escape fall apart. The Early Access version will feature four different themes, including Classic Board Games, Jungle, Icy Mountain, and Desert. Across these areas, players will encounter more than 15 monsters and 20 events, with different combinations helping to keep each run unpredictable. The demo has already attracted plenty of attention, passing 700,000 downloads, while Steam players have responded positively to the experience. The demo currently sits at a Very Positive rating, with more than 1,000 reviews.

Don't trust the game master!

If the monsters weren't enough, there's also the mysterious Game Master keeping an eye on proceedings. Voiced by Amelia Tyler, known for her work in Baldur's Gate 3 and Hades 2, the Game Master isn't exactly the friendly host you'd want running your board game night. Expect plenty of commentary as you attempt to survive the manor and uncover exactly what's going on. You'll also be able to collect special dice and cursed idols, each offering different abilities and risks. Some can help you survive, while others could make things considerably more complicated!

Grab your mates!

Invokyr has already been building momentum through its demo, with Ludogram adding new content and features based on player feedback. Recent updates have introduced things like the Yeti Board, public lobbies, Steam invites, and additional accessibility options. That makes Early Access an exciting next step for the game, particularly for players who enjoy their horror with a healthy dose of chaos and co-op panic. Invokyr launches into Early Access on Steam on October 8th, 2026. If you're ready to roll the dice and see what lurks inside the manor, you can wishlist it now!

Just remember, if your mate gets eaten by a monster, that's probably their fault. Probably.
