Good news for fans of Game Changer - not only is a new season on the way, but you’ll soon be able to bring the fun home too.
Dropout CEO Sam Reich has confirmed that Game Changer: Home Edition is launching via Kickstarter next month, giving players a chance to experience the show’s unpredictable style around their own table.
Since its debut in 2019, Game Changer has been a standout series thanks to its ever-changing format, where contestants jump into games without knowing the rules in advance. That same spirit is expected to carry over into the home version, although exact details on the included games are still under wraps. Reich has hinted they’ll take inspiration from episodes of the show, so fans can expect a mix of familiar chaos and new surprises.
According to Reich, the team held off on making a home version until they felt they could do it properly. The approach this time is designed to grow and evolve, with Kickstarter backers playing a role in shaping the final product through feedback.
This isn’t Dropout’s first tabletop project either - it previously teamed up with Wiggles 3D to create a board game version of Um, Actually. Whether Game Changer: Home Edition will see a wider retail release later on hasn’t been confirmed, but for now, it looks like Kickstarter will be the main way to get hold of it.
The campaign goes live on May 5, with more details on gameplay and rewards expected at launch
