There is another new creator out there about to launch their first project on Kickstarter. I’ve said it before but I am so impressed with people that can create and bring their projects to life, particularly in the gaming world that has so much out there now. Francis CostaVolcano brings you their first project in Forest Fellowship.
The game is for 2 to 4 people, recommended for 8 years and over and is estimated to take about 15 minutes, so we have a fast game. Here is what the creator is saying.
“”Forest Fellowship: First Settlement” is about a friendly community of animals forming their first colony in the forest, and the game runs in the initial stage of this process, where each player has to work to get everything needed to start building a home. Since it’s a competitive game with a cooperative spirit, each player must get help from other Fellow Neighbors (Helpers 🦺), and collect resources like Wood 🌳used to build your home and theirs. As well as Berries 🍅to feed and thank those who help you. To do so you have 1 Picker 🧺 and 1 Lumberjack 🪓(you can choose between 5 couples of different animals), and you also have a Carpenter 🔨. You use them to go to the forest to get those resources and Helpers (The forest setup is a grid of almost all cards at the center of the table) The first player who has a Perfect Place card 🏞 (to build your home) and reach the specific number of units for each resource wins! (Wood, Berries, and Strength/Helpers)
Some helpers in the forest can help you immediately because they are lumberjacks or pickers, and others will help you at the end of the game to build your home.”
It sounds like it will be a lot of fun and I love the artwork created for this one. The artist really is exceptionally talented as it looks stunning. The game jumps to life for sure.
The creator also has an array of YouTube videos on their Kickstarter launch page. Clearly they have a deep passion for the environment as they are regularly out after working hours clearing rubbish from their local beach. I love this and we need many more people like them for the good of our environment.
