Cyberpunk: Edgerunners board game announced

No Loading Games has revealed Cyberpunk: Edgerunners – Hunted, a new co-op board game based on the hit anime, with a planned release in Q3 2026.

Set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, the game takes inspiration from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and brings its characters and setting to the tabletop in a quick, team-based format.

A Co-op Game Set in Night City

Designed for 1–4 players, Hunted puts you in control of familiar faces from the show, including David, Lucy, Rebecca and Maine. The goal is simple: work together, complete missions, and try not to get taken out along the way.

It’s a real-time game, so everyone is making decisions at once rather than taking turns slowly. That keeps things moving and adds a bit of pressure, especially when plans don’t quite line up.

Sessions are designed to be fairly quick too, coming in at around 25 minutes, making it one you can get to the table without committing to a full evening.

What to Expect from Gameplay

Box set for the game "Hunted: Cyberpunk". Includes vibrant standees, mission cards, tokens, and a board with a futuristic and adventurous vibe.

The focus here is on teamwork and reacting to what’s happening on the board. Players will be completing objectives while dealing with enemies and other problems as they come up.

A few things help keep each game feeling a bit different:

  • A modular map of Night City that changes each time you play
  • Mission-based objectives that need to be completed before things spiral
  • A mix of characters and enemies pulled from the anime and game

There’s also a simple progression system between sessions, where you can upgrade your crew with better cyberware and abilities before heading into the next run.

Familiar Faces (and Threats)

The game includes a range of characters from the Cyberpunk universe, not just the main crew. Alongside the Edgerunners, you’ll run into things like Maelstrom gang members, NCPD officers, and Adam Smasher.

The art is handled by Davey Perkins and Laure De Chateaubourg, with a style that sticks close to the look of the anime while still working clearly on the tabletop.

Easy to Pick Up, Scales with You

If you’re new to this kind of game, there are a few onboarding scenarios to help ease you in. These start simple and gradually introduce more of the mechanics, so you’re not learning everything at once.

Once you’ve got the hang of it, you can mix in extra mission and reputation cards to increase the challenge a bit.

A Straightforward Adaptation

From what’s been shared so far, Hunted isn’t trying to reinvent anything - it’s more about taking the world and characters of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and turning them into a fast, co-op board game.

It leans into the setting, adds some light strategy, and keeps the pace fairly quick. If you like real-time games or want something Cyberpunk-themed that doesn’t take hours to play, it looks like a solid option
