Let’s clear this up: despite the name, The Sheep is not your usual chill farming Eurogame. This is not Agricola: The Fluffy Edition. No one’s knitting sweaters or raising livestock for market. Instead, this game asks a simple but terrifying question:
What if sheep were the real monsters?
Set in a world where once-docile flocks have mutated into nightmarish creatures, The Sheep casts players as shepherds-turned-survivors, desperately trying to guide supply caravans across the countryside without becoming lamb chops.
By day, the sheep are deceptively normal. But when night falls? The wool hits the fan.
How It Plays
The Sheep is a co-op survival game, mixing action, humour, and just enough horror to keep things tense. Each player controls a character with their own unique abilities and gear, and your job is simple on paper: get your caravan from point A to B without being trampled by the flesh-hungry herd.
Gameplay breaks down into two phases:
Day Phase – Gather equipment, level up, prepare defenses.
Night Phase – That’s when the flock transforms. Mutant woolbeasts charge your caravan, and you’ll need to hold the line using whatever gear and abilities you’ve managed to scrape together.
If just one caravan falls? It’s game over for everyone.
The whole thing feels like Left 4 Dead meets Wallace & Gromit, with an extra splash of evil eldritch weirdness. Yes, it’s funny. But also, yes — the sheep are legitimately unsettling.

At the time of writing, The Sheep has already raised over £150,000, and the campaign’s still going strong. Not bad for a game about killer sheep.
