Built around the massive 120mm gun, the Conqueror was easily capable of engaging and destroying any of these post-war Soviet tank designs at long range.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe Conqueror also featured some of the heaviest armour possible at the time, measuring as much as 178mm (7 inches) in places, allowing the tank to engage in front on firefights with a measure of impunity. This reduced the speed at which they could fire the gun, but it did result in the tank having a safer ammunition stowage system should the tank be penetrated by enemy fire. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCommanders Cupola\u003cbr\u003e\nThe Conqueror featured an innovative commander's cupola.
