What began as a small tabletop gaming event in Birmingham with around 900 attendees has grown into one of the biggest conventions of its kind in the world. The UK Games Expo now expects up to 50,000 visitors at its 20th show at the NEC, placing it alongside global giants like Spiel Essen in Germany and Gen Con in the US.A hobby that’s exploded in popularity

At UKGE, you’ll see everything from big-box strategy games like Terraforming Mars, to cooperative hits like Pandemic, storytelling games such as Gloomhaven, and fast, family-friendly titles like Azul and King of Tokyo. Alongside them sits the ever-growing world of roleplaying games and miniatures, from RPG campaigns to intricate skirmish games played out on detailed battlefields.
