New board game Centrix has officially won the 2025 Sparks Play Strategy Toy & Game Award! Analog Studios, founded by Richard MacRae, is the Toronto-based publisher behind the game’s genius, and announced this only a few days ago.
What is Centrix?
Centrix is a 3-D strategy board game that stands out for it’s unique multi-level circular board composed of seven layers (six of which rotate independently). The aim of e game is to move pawn tokens upwards across these rotating platforms using card combinations drawn each turn. Cards help you determine the best way to move up the levels, so this game requires strategic thinking to reach the topmost level first.
Every move changes the game, and every rotation means a different game board to play with, so if you like a bit of a puzzle and mind-boggler, this is the game for you!
Centrix can be played by 2-6 players and encourages people to think outside of the box.
