Restoration Games have announced two new Unmatched sets for you to collect and throw the characters into battle with. With five new characters in two sets for you to explore, the ever growing list of combinations is skyrocketing. Let’s have a quick look at what’s to come later this year.
The first is a two-character set, set in the lore of Japan. Suns Origin, set to be released in Q4 this year, brings two battle hardened leaders to battle. Legendary commander and onna-musha Tomoe Gozen and daimyō Oda Nobunaga, regarded as the first “Great Unifier” of Japan, are joining the fight. This delve into Japanese history is a wonderful path to explore and I’m looking forward to seeing how these characters will play.
The second set is a return to the Marvel universe, in Brains and Brawn. This set brings the might of She-Hulk, the mysticism of Doctor Strange and the… thwipp-y-ness of Spiderman (Peter Parker, if we’re being fussy). The map is yet to be revealed but it has been announced that Ian O’Toole (of Lisboa, Vinhos and The Gallerist fame) has lent his pencils to the map. This set is due out a little earlier, in Q3 of this year, so keep an eye out for these heroes of New York.
