Avalon Hill declared on 22nd October 2026, via Instagram that “The World needs more HeroQuest”. They are thrilled to announce they have a new miniature pack called the "Call of Dead”. Another big piece of news serves to remind me that this game (beloved from my childhood) still sits on the wish list and not my board game shelf.
It was revealed live at Essen Spiel as the event is presently in full swing (I’m not jealous of all those people there in the slightest). The pack includes 9 fresh monster sculptures to add a significant amount of terror to the next HeroQuest adventure.
The monsters to be included are skeleton, undead, zombie, abomination, goblin, orc, sorcerer, Dread warrior and gargoyle figures. It’s the images you really need to check here.
Avalon Hill notes that pre orders are being taken now for the set and will be available in March of 2027, just check locations. I can imagine if you are a HeroQuest player then this is not to be missed.
