I find social media quite frustrating a lot of the time, but then something pops up that catches my eye and reminds me why I still use it. This one looks so exciting and, the best news is, it is already funded.
Cryptozoic Entertainment have done it again in creating another successful Kickstarter campaign. Having created the DC Deck building game a few years ago now, this project sees them evolve their Cerberus Engine format in the creation of Fight! Mortal Kombat 1!
It was a proper trip down memory lane for me in seeing a lot of these memorable characters that I loved to use on the Mega Drive beat 'em up game (I am that old now) now coming to the table top on this incredible looking game. And for 2-4 people which is a cool step up.
Reading through the overview it looks a reasonably straight forward game to pick up and play. The rules look very accessible and I can see it will be the detail in the cards that make this game for sure. Simple mechanics with far greater strategy.
The game looks quite expensive on kickstarter. That’s just my opinion. Check out the page for yourself to see those numbers and look over all the other details. What we definitely know is the project is funded already and there is a team with a track record of delivering projects. You have until the end of March 2026 to pledge!
