Warhammer have treated us to another round of reveals, showcasing some of the awesome new miniatures we can look forward to in the first few months of 2024.
There is a new Kill Team of Drukhari Mandrakes, who will be facing off against the previously revealed Night Lords group ‘Nemesis Claw’ in an upcoming box. Kill Team: Nightmare also features the Generatorum Hub, a large terrain piece that will be put to good use in nine new missions.
Warcry: Pyre and Flood introduces two new warbands that can face-off in the Gnarlwood. The Pyregheists are Nighthaunt spirits sent forth by Nagash to cleanse the wood with their flames. The Ydrilan Riverblades who oppose them are Lumineth warrior-monks who worship the rivers of the Mortal Realms.
Krethusa the Croneseer is a beautiful new model for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar that features large black wings, long flowing locks covering her sightless eyes, and a flock of carrion birds on the scenic base.
The Saviours of Cinderfall are an interesting set of miniatures including a witch hunter, an ex-Freeguild officer, a thief, a Lord-Castellant with his trusty Gryph-hound, and a spy-master who gathers intelligence via her network of felines.
Humanity’s finest mortal warriors are getting a range of new plastic kits, and leading the pack is the Solar Auxilia Battle Group army box, which was shown off at LVO 2024. It contains two 10-man lasrifle sections, a Line Command Section, a Dracosan Armoured Transport, an Aethon Heavy Sentinel, and a Leman Russ battle tank.
Zondara’s Gravebreakers is a new warband for Warhammer Underworlds, featuring the tragic duo of Ghurish mage Zondara Rivenheart and her lover Ferlain (who has been cursed to live as a beast), along with three undead thralls.
I’ve saved the best for last… Kroot are finally getting an army set! The Kroot Hunting Pack box includes two different kinds of Shapers: a War Shaper and a Flesh Shaper, 20 Kroot Carnivores in new dynamic poses, a giant Krootox Rider, and Krootox Rampagers. Perfect for those of us keen to run an all-Kroot force in Warhammer 40k.
