It has been just over a month since the release of Winterspell and Ravensburger but we already had so many amazing and exciting competitive events for Players to enjoy. Obviously Disney Lorcana is also a great game for Collectors and that's why Ravensburger set to release two new Premium products for Disney Lorcana this weekend: “ The Disney Lorcana Scrooge McDuck Gift Box” and the “Winterspell - Stitch Collection Starter Set”.
Both of these products are amazing opportunity to score some nice promo cards together with great accessories and some packs to open and, in my case, they also arrived at my front door on release day thanks to the generosity of the Ravensburger team. I was already super excited to get my hands on these two products and having them delivered just made my day! Among the two my favourite one is the Collection starter set and I couldn't wait to open it and share what I found inside this amazing product.

What do you need to start your Disney Lorcana collection
The essence of Disney Lorcana is, obviously, its beautifully illustrated cards and collecting them can be as exciting as playing with them. In a lot of cases, Players also enjoy collecting the cards and keep the most precious ones safe in their boxes and binders but there are also a lot of Illumineers that just want to collect the cards either consistently or occasionally.
Every Disney Lorcana fan obviously needs some cards and we usually think that the rarest the card, the better. Among these, Enchanted or Iconic cards are definitely obvious choices but also the exclusives promos that comes from premium products or events are also very collectible. In reality, Illumineers can also collect cards related to certain Character or Movie or even those from a specific artist. Once you have a purpose, there are plenty of ways to start and grow your Disney Lorcana collection but in essence the two products you will need for sure are cards and a storage solution to stow and protect them. While you can use boxes and Troves to store your collection, using a binder will always be better for a collector as you can look to your prize cards every time you wish to.
Collection Starter Set – The best entry level product for everyone
If you are a Player and you would like to learn the rules and start playing Disney Lorcana, the Starter Decks will be a great product for you. If you are instead looking to just (or to also) collect the cards, you should look for the Collection Starter set, a new product that Ravensburger released for the first time during set 9 (Fabled). This product features four Booster Packs, a unique and exclusive promo card and a small portfolio binder to store your collection that is everything you need to get started.
After the great success of the first Collection Starter set, Ravensburger just released a new one for Winterspell, the latest set of Disney Lorcana released in February 2026. This new product is fully centred around our favourite Alien Troublemaker, Stitch, that is featured on both the portfolio and the promo card. The Promo card uses the same artwork of the Rare “Stitch, Carefree Snowboarder” but received a Glimmer Foil treatment. This is similar to what was done for Tinker Bell in the previous Collection Starter set and it is pretty nice that, in both cases, the promo selected is a very playable card.

The Portfolio binder is of very good quality and it features instead “Stitch, Rockstar” on the front cover. A smaller version of the same Character can be found on the spine of the binder while the back showcases a larger Lore symbol. Inside the binder there are 10 pages with 4 pockets on both sides allowing to store up to 80 cards. Considering the product comes with 4 booster packs of Winterspell, there is a chance you may find some nice Epic, Legendaries, and Enchanted (or even Iconic) to start filling some of the slots. I personally prefer sleeving every card before adding them to the binder for extra safety but that's personal preference.
Who is this Collection Starter Box for?
Basing on its name, you may consider the Collection Starter set as a product limited to anyone new to Disney Lorcana. In fact, it is true that is a great product for anyone who is looking to get into the game, in particular if they are more interested in collecting the cards. However, it is also a great product for anyone already playing or collecting Disney Lorcana, in particular if you consider the value that the Collection Starter set brings for the price.
The first reason this product is great is because all the boosters included are all from Winterspell that is the latest Disney Lorcana set thus it offers the opportunity to complete your set collection ahead of the Set Championship. The value of the boosters alone is already pretty much the one of the Collection starter box. On top of this, you have a nice binder that can be used to store rare cards or any subset of your collection. You can even use the binder to keep the cards you want to trade or for the cards signed by the artists. Last but not least, you get the promo Stitch card that not only is very playable but is also pretty cool. Today, this promo cards alone is worth £10 bringing the overall value of the Collection Starter Box way over its MRP price.
Overall, I think the Stitch Collection Starter Box is a great opportunity for everyone and I strongly recommend to not miss out on it. Ravensburger released the previous one for Fabled thus I really hope there will be another one just after next rotation when set 13, “Attack of the Vine” released. If this is the case, I personally wish the next Collection Starter will feature one (or all) the main Characters from Monster&Co, but which one you would you rather Ravensburger pick?
