Steel Colosseum is now live on Kickstarter! Steel Colosseum is a competitive team combat arena game for 2-4 players, featuring a series of scraps between two teams of two customisable fighting robots. Designed by Needy Cat Games, Steel Colosseum is also Zatu Games’ very first publishing deal.
This character is slightly different from its bolder, head-on brawler counterparts. This robot is all about the element of surprise. A silent assassin. You won’t know it’s coming until it’s too late…
Introducing Insectoid
Insectoid was built for stealing secrets. It can crawl, climb, and run with extreme agility – all while keeping out of sight. You wouldn’t want to run into it either, as those arms are made for chopping things to pieces!
In the arena, Insectoid can use obstacles to its advantage in ways the other robots can’t. However, its speed comes from its lack of armour. Be warned – it only takes a couple of solid hits to take Insectoid out of the fray. Its killer arms are extra lethal towards robots who have already lost their armour though, so opponents watch out!
- Insectoid is all about clever positioning. Backstab plays off this, letting you deal additional damage if you attack another robot from behind. Paired with Killer Blades, this is a card that’s worth saving for a bout-winning strike.
- Scuttle gives Insectoid a burst of speed and lets it zip past other Robots and Obstacles as though they weren’t there, scuttling over them to find a new location to strike from.
- Writhe lets Insectoid go surprisingly far, as it can rotate for free – meaning your opponents won’t know where you’ll be hitting from.
