A board game based on one of the internet's most beloved game shows has become a crowdfunding hit, pulling in more than $5 million with days still left on the clock!
Game Changer: Home Edition, inspired by Dropout's hugely popular comedy game show, has blown past expectations on Kickstarter despite featuring just three of the show's many fan-favourite challenges.
Bringing the Show Home
For anyone unfamiliar with the series, Game Changer is known for constantly changing its rules, with contestants often discovering how to play as the game unfolds. The tabletop version takes a slightly different approach, offering three structured party games that capture the chaotic energy of the show.
The first is Bingo, a team-based word association challenge where players attempt to predict the responses of their opponents. Then there's Name a Number, a bidding game that sees teams raising the stakes to make challenges increasingly difficult.
Rounding out the collection is Sam Says, a twist on classic charades that introduces new complications as the game progresses. One particularly mischievous rule even allows the opposing team to distract players by making as much noise as possible.
Plenty of Pledge Options
The campaign offers several ways to get involved. A lower-cost sampler edition includes a streamlined version of Sam Says, while the standard edition contains all three games.
For bigger fans, Kickstarter-exclusive bundles add bonus content, including community-created prompts and a deck of novelty rewards for the winning team to hand out after each game.
At the highest end, dedicated collectors can even pledge for premium tiers that include genuine props used on the Game Changer TV show.

The campaign's success is another sign of Dropout's growing popularity, with Game Changer becoming one of the platform's most recognisable shows in recent years.
