I absolutely adore the Star Wars Deckbuilding game, which not only has an excellent theme but also fantastic smooth and easy to learn gameplay. You can currently buy the first version which features Empire Vs Rebels, or they released a Clone Wars set after, and both versions can be mixed and matched. We've had one expansion already, featuring the Mandalorians, and a new 3 player mode, and now a new bigger box expansion is on the way, dropping in July!
This time around, we are seeing an expansion that is only aimed at those that have the Empire Vs Rebels original edition of the game, and is titled Rebels and Empire Reinforcements. In the box, we find over 140 new cards which well definitely help to mix up the gameplay of the original, 50 of which are Reinforcement cards (25 for each side) which are earned by completing missions which are another new card in the game. Missions are completed by spending resources on them, instead of purchasing cards, which should add another layer of strategic depth to the game.

Also in the box is going to be new bases, and upgraded starter cards which will help to mix up the early game. Additionally, and this I'm really excited about, there are some new game modes in the box, including a campaign mode which strings together 5 games in which you will compete for points earned through missions and bases, as well as being able to upgrade your starting deck for future games, which sounds like a brilliant addition.
With the news that this has just been announced, and should be with us in July, I'm so excited that we haven't got long to wait for this one, which will definitely be a day 1 purchase for me, and hopefully we will see something similar for the Clone Wars box further down the line!
