Marmalade Game Studio reports record growth!

Marmalade Game Studio is celebrating a major year of growth after reporting a significant increase in revenue and profits for 2025. The London-based developer and publisher, which specialises in digital versions of popular board games, increased its revenue to £12.7 million during the year. Adjusted EBITDA also more than doubled compared with the previous year, reaching £5.2 million.

And it doesn't look like the company is slowing down anytime soon! Marmalade expects 2026 to be another record-breaking year, with EBITDA forecast to nearly double again.

From tabletop to digital

Marmalade Game Studio has built its business around bringing well-known board games to digital platforms. Its catalogue includes licensed versions of major titles such as Monopoly, Cluedo and The Game of Life. The company's strategy focuses on keeping these games available across multiple platforms, giving players different ways to play depending on the device or service they use.

Cristina Mereuta, co-CEO of Marmalade, said diversification has been an important part of the company's success. This includes spreading its games across different intellectual properties, distribution platforms and revenue streams. Marmalade currently has nine established games available across as many as eight distribution platforms, helping the company reach players across a range of digital gaming services.

Amazon Luna joins the line-up!

One of the biggest additions to Marmalade's distribution network came in 2025, when the company expanded onto Amazon Luna.

Marmalade was an official launch partner for Amazon GameNight, a selection of games designed to be played on a television while players use their smartphones as controllers.

The partnership has already resulted in five Marmalade titles being made available through the platform, with another two games currently in development.

The move gives the company another route to bring its digital board games to audiences, while also tapping into the growing interest in cloud-based gaming.

A strong future

Marmalade's latest financial results suggest its strategy of expanding across platforms is paying off.

Mike Willis, co-CEO of Marmalade, said the company was pleased to see its enthusiasm for board games reflected in its financial performance.

The company is headquartered in London and also has offices in Lisbon and Bucharest. Its international team brings together staff from a range of backgrounds, with Marmalade highlighting different perspectives as an important part of its approach to developing games.

Backed for growth

Marmalade's recent expansion has also been supported by investment from LDC, which invested £22.5 million in the company in September 2021.

That investment was made to support Marmalade's existing management team as the business continued to develop.

With another record year predicted for 2026 and further games in development for Amazon Luna, Marmalade Game Studio appears to be continuing its push to bring classic board games to an increasingly digital audience.

For a company built around taking familiar tabletop favourites onto screens, the numbers suggest that strategy is working!
