The wait is nearly over for board game fans and proud locals alike – Ipswich Monopoly is set to hit the shelves this November, bringing a local twist to one of the world’s most famous games.
This new edition from Winning Moves celebrates Ipswich’s rich history, culture, and community spirit, showcasing some of the town’s best-loved landmarks. Expect to see Ipswich Town FC, the Waterfront, University of Suffolk, Christchurch Mansion, the Giles Statue, the Orwell Bridge, and the Buttermarket all taking pride of place on the board!
Players can look forward to Ipswich-themed Monopoly money, custom Chance and Community Chest cards, and the usual mix of eight classic metal tokens – though the artwork for the game box is still under wraps for now.
Local mental health charity Mind Suffolk has already been confirmed as one of the featured Community Chest spaces, with more local connections expected to appear once the full board is revealed.
This will be the first Ipswich Monopoly edition since 2006, so whether you’re a collector or just fancy building your own Ipswich property empire, this might be one to snap up early!
