Halo: Campaign Evolved official release date!

Master Chief is heading to the tabletop! Halo: Campaign Evolved, the upcoming solo board game from Mantic Games, now has a confirmed retail release date of November 14, 2026. First announced earlier this year, the officially licensed game brings the iconic Halo universe to the tabletop with a campaign built around sequential missions, plenty of Covenant enemies and, naturally, a rather large selection of weapons!

Become Master Chief!

Halo: Campaign Evolved puts one player directly into the armour of Master Chief, taking on the Covenant across a series of missions. Unlike many Halo board games that focus on multiplayer battles, Campaign Evolved is designed specifically for solo play. You'll work your way through eight different mission maps, completing objectives and earning combat medals as you fight your way through each scenario. It's essentially a compact Halo campaign you can tackle on your own, without needing to convince your mates to put down the controller!

Eight missions to conquer

The game features eight sequential missions, giving players a clear campaign to work through as they progress. Each map offers objectives to complete, with weapons and explosives scattered across the battlefield to help Master Chief deal with the Covenant threat. You'll need to make smart decisions about how you approach each mission, particularly when resources and equipment could make the difference between victory and a rather embarrassing trip back to the checkpoint! Characters also have their own reference cards, designed to make it easier to keep track of abilities and information during play. This should help keep the action moving without constantly flicking through the rulebook.

Rack up those medals!

Simply surviving isn't enough. Players are encouraged to complete mission objectives and earn combat medals along the way. That gives the campaign an extra layer of challenge, particularly for players looking to squeeze more out of each scenario. Getting through a mission is one thing, but doing it well is another! The game is aimed at players aged 13 and over, with sessions expected to take around 30 to 60 minutes. That makes each mission fairly manageable for an evening gaming session, while the campaign structure gives players plenty of reasons to keep coming back.

Ready for deployment?

Halo: Campaign Evolved looks set to offer something a little different for fans of the franchise. With solo gameplay, eight missions and Master Chief at the centre of the action, it could be an interesting choice for Halo fans who fancy trading the controller for some dice, cards and tabletop combat!

Halo: Campaign Evolved launches at retail on November 14, 2026. Time to see if you can live up to the Chief's reputation!
