Gone to Gaia is coming to Gamefound

GONE TO GAIA

A very exciting new project has been announced, with a really interesting new game called Gone to Gaia, coming to Gamefound soon.

Coming from publishers Rose Gauntlet Entertainment, who have done a couple of fantastic games Keystone: North America and Wild Gardens, Gone to Gaia appears to be a big departure from their usual themes and mechanics, one which any rogue like or campaign game fans should really keep an eye out for.

With Rose Gauntlet founders Isaac Vega and Lindsey Rode back at the helm of a new game, this has the feeling of a campaign that might really take off and help them reach new heights in the industry.

What is Gone to Gaia?

One look at the campaign and you will see why this game has me excited!

A 1-2 player campaign, Gone to Gaia is a Roguelite board game, transporting elements and mechanics of some of my personal favourite video games Hades and Vampire Survivors to the board realm, all with in a huge campaign of 14 quests which will have you spending hundreds of hours on your newest favourite board game.

Playing as brave heroes – or Delvers – you will be doing some classic Roguelite things such as monster fighting, character progression, tactical combat, making decisions and uncovering the games secrets, as you and your fellow Delver search for Gaia.

Each Delver plays differently, with various strengths and weaknesses and a huge amount of ownership over how you play as them and the upgrades they can get.

Essentially if you have played a Roguelike game before and loved the experience, Gone to Gaia will be a game for you, with it sounding just like a description of a video game.

Levelling up, spawning monsters, loot, NPCs, relationship paths, and the oh so exciting but oh so worrying Perma death system, which means the Delvers you pick can die, permanently! They then become immortalised in your campaign, which sounds like an incredibly tantalising concept.

This is all within 14 quests and featuring over 200 pages of monsters, locations and different narrative paths. So it’s a gargantuan game, with the world of Gaia sounding like it needs to be explored.

When can I explore Gaia?

Gone to Gaia will be available on Gamefound, hopefully eligible to be backed this month. However looking at places like Board Game Geek, the suggestion seems to be this game won’t be available until 2027, so it sounds like it’s a long wait, but one certainly worth being patient for.

It sounds really unique, looks incredible, and speaks to me on many levels. And aimed at just 1-2 players I think is a huge selling point, as we all know how hard it is to finish a campaign game when player counts get higher.

If this all sounds very interesting, go check out the campaign on Gamefound today, and make sure you follow the project for the latest news on the game and to be the first to know when Gone to Gaia finally goes live!
