At the time of writing there are about two weeks to go on the Kickstarter for the new Cyberpunk 2077 Trading Card Game. What's a TCG? Well think Magic the Gather, Pokemon or Star Wars Unlimited but set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe and it currently has attracted over £11.5m in backing!
So what do we know about the game and the release? Well firstly, it's licensed from CDPR who made the video game and it's using some of the art and characters we've come to love (I say come to as it was a bit of a mess at launch but is now a wonderful game to play!).
In the game you will be building a deck of characters and upgrades to battle it out against another player to become the ultimate Edgerunner in Night City. Like most other TCGs there are a mix of Starter Decks, which contain a pre built deck you can play straight out of the box, alongside booster packs and boxes to give you the cards you need to build your own deck.
Interestingly the game features a mix of dice and cards. To win you'll need to protect your own Gig Dice, while attacking your rival to steal theirs. If a player has at least 6 Gig Dice in their play area at the start of their turn, they win.

Cards in the Cyberpunk 2077 TCG include a mix of Legends, who lead you crew, units who are your crew, programs which are one off events or effects and gear which upgrades your cards.
Given the huge response on Kickstarter so far, this is certainly a new TCG to get excited about, particularly if you are a fan of the video game or Cyberpunk: Edgerunners which the new TCG draws from.
