Alderac Entertainment Group brought a pair of new titles from Flatout Games to its booth at GAMA Expo 2026, giving attendees an early look at Forage and Honeypot - both of which are currently live on Kickstarter.
The two games lean into quick, accessible gameplay, each designed for 1–6 players with playtimes in the 15–30 minute range.
A closer look at the games
Forage is a roll-and-write game designed by Molly Johnson, Robert Melvin, and Shawn Stankewich, with artwork from Beth Sobel. Players explore a shifting tableau of cards as they gather ingredients like berries, mushrooms, and plants, using them to build knowledge and craft recipes.
Meanwhile, Honeypot, designed by Joseph Z. Chen with art by Kwanchi Moriya and Brigette Indelicato, takes a more playful approach. Players act as bear secret agents, stacking and choosing resources in a bid to secure the best honey - while avoiding trouble from swarming bees.
Strong early backing
Both games are already off to a solid start on Kickstarter, with the campaign pulling in over £109,000 from more than 4,500 backers at the time of writing.
From proven designers
Flatout Games has a solid track record, having previously co-designed Cascadia, which went on to win the Spiel des Jahres. That pedigree, combined with the accessible nature of both Forage and Honeypot, gives these new releases a good foundation heading into retail.
Coming later this year
Both games are expected to arrive in retail in September 2026, following their crowdfunding campaign.
For players after lighter, quick-to-table experiences with a strong theme, these two look like easy ones to keep an eye on - especially if you’re already a fan of Flatout’s previous work.
