You can place a tear by reducing your available pillars at the start of your turn, making the main building phase harder to fulfil. The Rituals introduces 13 ritual cards to the game. These cards are shuffled at the start of the game and only one is revealed. The revealed ritual is an extra rule or stipulation that you have to follow during the entire game. These range from simple rule changes to game changing effects. The golden columns add 2 golden pillars to the game. These are shorter than the others and act as any colour. They can not act as support for higher floor tiles however due to their size, and they can never be moved after being placed. The Fate brings with it 8 new temple floor tiles. Each of these tiles have new rules and placement styles associated with them. For example: needing pillars to be placed in a certain order, pillars placed simultaneously or even pillars placed laying on their side.
